A FINAL NOTE |
CANCELLATION
We hope that you will not find it necessary to cancel
your visit to Oak Hill Manor; however, if you must, we require a 72 hour notice. All
reservations are guaranteed with a deposit for the first night's lodging. Deposits, minus a
$15.00 cancellation fee, will be refunded if cancellation is made 72 or more hours prior to
check-in. Less than 72 hours notice results in forfeit of deposit unless the room is
re-booked. Arrival after the specified date, or departures before final date will also result
in deposit forfeiture.
Note: Certain
Holiday and Special Event weekends, as well as whole house rentals, will require a 50%
non-refundable deposit!
CHECK-IN
Normal check-in time at Oak Hill Manor is
between 4:00 P.M. and 7:00 P.M. When you make your reservation, we ask you whether you plan on
arriving in the afternoon or the evening, and approximately what time. This insures that
someone will be here to greet you when you arrive. If your plans change, and you will not be
able to arrive when planned, we ask that you advise us as soon as possible. Also, if you
require a later check-in, we will be happy to accommodate your special needs. Earlier check-in
is generally not possible. With only two of us, we need the time to complete room preparations
after our guests check out. (Besides, at our age we need a little time to recover ourselves.)
By all means, if you are going to be in the area earlier in the day to take advantage of
the bicycle trail or just to enjoy Albany, feel free to stop in and say hello and park your
car at Oak Hill Manor.
CHECK-OUT
Normal check-out time at Oak Hill Manor is 11:00 A.M.
Later check-out is generally not possible, as we require the time to complete preparations for
our next guests.
By all means, if you are going to be in the area later in the day to take advantage of the
bicycle trail or just to enjoy Albany, feel free to park your car at Oak Hill Manor until your
day's activities are completed.
SMOKING
For your comfort and safety, Oak Hill
Manor is a Smoke-Free Environment. We strictly enforce this policy.. Anyone who smokes while in Oak Hill Manor will be required to pay an additional
assessment which is equal to the cost of hiring professional cleaning and fumigating personnel
to bring the facility back to its smoke free condition.
CHILDREN
We love children here at Oak Hill
Manor. Unfortunately, not everyone agrees. Because we most often serve as a
"getaway" location, most of our guests are couples who use their time here to enjoy
each others company.
Oak Hill Manor is quite often rented for an entire weekend by families who are meeting for a
reunion. When all rooms are reserved by a single party, several children can be accommodated
with their parents. It is our experience, however, that most children find a stay at another
type of facility - catering to children - more to their liking. A few video games and a heated
pool seem to be more in line with what most children are looking for in a "getaway".
Children over 12 are always welcome.
PETS
We also love pets here at Oak Hill Manor. When
you see the house, you will agree that it "cries out" for a cat to enjoy the many
cozy and warm nooks and crannies. However, many persons are allergic to animals, and so we
have made Oak Hill Manor guest areas a Pet Free Environment. Guest pets are not allowed, and we
have two cats of our own. Our cats are not allowed in any areas which guests use.
A FINAL NOTE
We hope that you find our policies easy
to understand, and easy to agree with. It is our aim to provide every guest with the best
possible opportunity to relax and enjoy their visit to Oak Hill Manor.
